Vaggelis Tountas, an award-winning composer from Athens, discovered his passion for music early in life. Trained in classical guitar and violin, he graduated from the Hellenic Conservatory of Music. Influenced by Greek folk and world music, he pursued a career as a violin soloist. With a background in music production, he excels in composing orchestral pieces for theatre, TV, and films, showcasing his versatility in various genres. 

His impressive portfolio includes original scores for movies and TV series, demonstrating his expertise in music composition and production.

Solo Performance

Solo Music Performance is an interactive music project that travels through a wide range of musical genres. Vangelis Tounta’s violin performance combined with the pre-recorded material creates a delightful happening, a plethora of sounds and musical textures with familiar sounds from the world of cinema, but also melodies of his own, as well as covers of well-known songs from the pop , jazz, rock, and world music scene.
